What an excellent location to hold a wedding, you won’t be short of beaches. The Bahamas are made up of over 200 unspoiled white sand islands and 700 cays. What a variety of locations we have to offer. You could chose a stretch on a private beach, belonging to the hotel or a livelier location, where there are so many activities going on you can even learn circus tricks like the trapeze! One thing is for certain, with the spectacular beaches only a stones throw away, you are going to be in Paradise.

The Bahamas maintains much of it colonial charm, this is displayed in its architecture and historic ties to the UK. Famed for its water sports, one day you could be snorkelling and the next feeding sharks. If sharks sound too scary there is the opportunity to swim with dolphins, although we do advise you book this first to avoid disappointment. Of course you could just sit back, relax and enjoy the sun.

Because the Bahamas are the most northern islands of the Caribbean, summers are hot & humid. Winters are in the main mild. However some of the northern islands including Nassau can be subject to cool air blown in from North America. Rain does fall right the way through the year, but is at its greatest during May to October. The hurricane season is June to November. We would recommend you visit during December to April.

Rules & Regulations for marriage

You must be resident on the island at least 3 working days before your big day. As a Minimum you must provide passport, a birth certificate & swear an affidavit to confirm your single status. Provide a statement of personal details (eg Name, address &occupation) Rules differ if you have previously been married, are adopted, changed your name or are under 18. We will always check the latest advice.

Passports

You must hold a machine readable British passport, with at least 6 months validity after your return date.
