The Shandrani Beachcomber property, is famed for its high standard of ‘fully inclusive’ service. You can dine at one of its 4 restaurants. The choice of cuisine is amazing, with mouth-watering Oriental & Creole influenced buffet cuisine, tropical a la carte dishes served at the tip of the peninsula with its stunning vista or seafood specialities served in an intimate garden setting, for adults only. You will also enjoy a huge choice of branded wines & drinks – unlike most fully inclusive options this even includes champagne by the glass, so you can celebrate until your hearts content! The spacious rooms and suites at Shandrani are spread out among the luscious gardens, and no room is far from the beach. Superior Rooms have been recently refurbished to give luxurious accommodation with a terrace or balcony on which to relax. Superior Beachfront Rooms are as described above, but all have a superb location close to a fabulous stretch of beach. Deluxe Rooms are more spacious and offer elegantly designed interiors featuring a large bedroom with seating area as well as a private terrace or balcony. Deluxe Rooms can interconnect, giving perfect accommodation for families with older children. Family Apartments have two bedrooms – ideal for families with younger children. Parents have a deluxe queen-size bedroom plus a seating area and private balcony, while the children’s room has bunk beds (suitable for children under 12) and its own en-suite shower room. Senior & Family Suites are highly recommended for extra touches of luxury and even more extensive accommodation.

The immense, smooth waters of Blue Baie Marine Park are made for water sports. Water-skiing, windsurfing, snorkelling, pedalos, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips and more all included with your holiday. A mini par 29, 9-hole pitch-and-putt golf course gives both beginners and enthusiasts a fun challenge, while volleyball, tennis and a well equipped gym are also included. Diving at the National Geographic PADI Dive Centre, operated by Scuba Systems, is included if you are a qualified PADI diver. It’s a great chance to explore the shipwrecks of bygone naval battles that lie close to these shores.

Not everyone wants to participate in water sports, but still want to enjoy some activity or more leisurely pursuits. The Shandrani can offer this too. If you’re looking for action and adventure amongst the natural beauty of Mauritius, sign up for the thrilling Sport & Nature Programme. It’s a great way to combine close encounters with the island’s unique wildlife with energetic sporting activities such as mountain biking, kayaking and abseiling. Whichever you choose, you can take part at a level that suits your skills and confidence, and your safety is assured at all times. The half-day or full-day excursions are not meant to be competitive – they are about spending fun time with family and friends according to individual levels of fitness. Our qualified instructors accompany all activities and equipment is regularly checked and maintained at the peak of efficiency. The Programme introduces you to the best of the unspoiled landscape of southern Mauritius, and includes the chanceto visit the famous wildlife sanctuary of Ile aux Aigrettes. This 60-acre sanctuary is home to rare and endangered birds and animals such as the almost extinct Pink Pigeon. The Sport & Nature Programme is however at an additional cost.

Evening entertainment is provided every night, and takes the form of the resident band or a show. To ensure Mum & Dad get to rest during the day too, there is a complimentary Bob Marlin Miniclub for 3 to 12 year olds.
