Le Canonnier

Le Cannonier Beachcomber property, is located on an exclusive peninsula on the northern tip of Mauritius. The grounds span a lush tropical park and enjoys views over the islets of the north of this enchanting island.  The village of Grand Baie is just 5 km away.

Accommodation takes the form 284 rooms ranging from standard grades to honeymoon suites. There are also family duplex and apartments available, making this an ideal choice for both couples and families alike. All rooms/apartments are en-suite with either a terrace or balcony.

Le Canonnier offers dining at two superb restaurants and has a great bar which serves snacks throughout the day. Guests also have the chance to inter-dine at the restaurants at Le Mauricia, although from time to time these restaurants may be for the sole use of Le Mauricia guests. Choose from either Half Board or All Inclusive for your stay.

Gentle, inviting waters make Mauritius a perfect destination for water activities - waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling trips, kayaks and pedal boats are all complimentary for guests. The hotel also offers free weekly group sailing and windsurfing lessons. In season, there is a chance to experience superb deep sea fishing. There is a fishing charter company just 10 minutes from Le Victoria. The charters offer half and full day trips on fully equipped specialist fishing boats (including quality tackle and bait). Le Canonnier also has an on-site PADI affiliated Dive Centre with a comprehensive diving programme. There are a number of decent dive sites within 20 minutes boat ride of the hotel.  For land lovers you will find 3 floodlit tennis courts (hard court, Head tennis racket hire is complimentary however tennis balls will need to be purchased), table tennis, volley ball, bocciball and archery which are all complimentary for guests. Mountain bikes are also available for hire. The hotel does not have a gym, however, guests are free to use the facilities at Le Mauricia - a 5 minute taxi ride from the hotel.

For the younger guests there is  a free Bob Marlin Mini Club which welcomes children aged 3 - 12. Le Canonnier's miniclub is open from 0900 to 2100, 7 days a week and is housed in an ancient lighthouse. The clubs are run by qualified professionals who provide fun, but also educational, indoor and outdoor activities to keep your little ones entertained and happy. Every day there is a set activities programme which you can dip in and out of, if you also want to spend some family time together during the day.

You could of course indulge in a visit to the hotels very own wellness centre which is built in and around the branches of a huge, ancient Banyan Tree. It offers a number of relaxing massage treatments and does offer a double massage cabin.
