Zanzibar Weddings

Even the name sounds romantic! What better place to get married than on the ‘Spice Island’, Zanzibar.

Zanzibar is a unique coral island lying in the Indian Ocean not far from Tanzania. It is characterised by beautiful sandy beaches with coral reefs, warm clear blue waters, heavenly islands, fantastic reefs for snorkelling and diving, terrific deep sea fishing and water sports. The historic Stone Town with its narrow meandering streets, vibrant markets and colourful bazaars makes it a culturally interesting place to visit. Commonly known as the "Spice Island”; it’s famous for spices such as: cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, cardamom, pepper and others). Spice tours are a popular excursion.

Zanzibar is warm all year round with 7-8 hours of sunshine a day. The coastal resorts on the north and east coast are cooled by sea breezes, which is quite refreshing. Stonetown and the centre of Zanzibar Island have showers throughout the year. There are heavy showers throughout the island in April and May when most tourists avoid the island and hotels close. Also avoid November & December, when the rainfall is quite high too.
